Occupy movement is not an organization, it is a movement!

Occupychi.org is still picking up steam dispite its lack of organization. "We are the 99%" has become the protestors battle cry. They are individuals and organizations collectively protesting causes that all lead back to one focused complaint, the 1% have more power than the the 99%. Our political reps are elected by the most money spent. Our pentagon has been hijacked by defense contractors. Our healthcare system benefits the middle man insurance companies instead of the doctors ans patients. Our department of agriculture has been run into the ground by monsanto, the citizens united ruling claims corporations are people and money is speech, the list is as diverse as the people here in chicago outside the federal reserve. This movement will not be privatized, or reduced to a single organization.

The movement has teeth in chicago!

occupychicago.org is thriving! Media interest is growing, and form is starting to take shape within the organization. They are working to clarify the message and focus on their target; end corporate control of our government, our military, our food supply, our healthcare system etc... Their goal is not government control either, it is to hand control of both back to we the people

Today's Ideas for Action

Things that everyday people can do to fight the corporate machine and strengthen the rights of the people;

1.  Take your money out of huge corporate banks, and move it to a local community bank, or credit union.

The corporate banks have become too big. (i.e. too big to fail.) There are 10 banks that hold 77% of American private assets.  That is simply too much control.  Keep your money in your community.

2.  Contact your representatives.

As often as you frequent entertainment media, such as sports, celebrity gossip, etc... you should match this with reading on political information.  It doesn't matter what party you are for, they both have shifted their motives to the source of the money.  visit http://www.usa.gov/ to find your reps.  It is essential.

3.  Rely less on Global Market, more on Local.

This sounds strange but it is crucial.  Americans all need to excersise patriotism at the cash register.  Buy American.  It is still possible and affordable.  Don't believe what the big box stores are telling you.  They destroyed American manufacturing.  They replaced American sales with minimum wage part-time positions.  And they convince Americans to hate unions.  All for the sake of continuing to break profit records at the expense of our economy.  They have no allegiance to any nation.  They will just move to the next growing economy.

4.  Join/ form organizations.

Organizing is the best way to spread a message.  Lots of people feel like you do and can see the truth.  Find them, talk with them.  Collaborate to contact representatives and make your message known.  Don't be affraid of belonging to organizations.

Anonymous Plan

This generation has found its duty.  We are a generation of action and a generation of information.  Information is free.  If information is conceled, we will insure it is liberated.  We are growing aware of our oppressors and we are becoming willing to resist them.  Corporate curruption of our government and the governments around the world is not new.  It is not some recently raised conspiracy theory.  We have been warned about it for hundreds of years.  Yet we have become more and more distracted from the battle for liberty.  Celebrity, sports, gossip, personal debt, all of these have become the new wool over the eyes of the masses.  Inform yourself.  Remain non-violent.  Take time out of your day to be involved in your community.  In our community.

The Banksters

Examining what has been occuring over the last thiry years in our nation with regard to the financial sector is intimidating.  The concentration of wealth to the top few Americans has been driven by the tireless efforts of lawyers and lobbiest to deregulate the banking institutions.  The lessons we learned after the Great Depression brought about laws to protect Americans from future collapse.  Those laws have been slowly removed one by one by financial institutions lobbying law makers and lining their pockets.  There are 310,000,000 Americans
400 Americans have more wealth than 150,000,000 Americans.
10 companies (financial institutions) own 77% of all American Assets.
Yet they still want more.
The only reason I can offer is that it isn't Liberty they are after, it is control.  They want the population of the world to be in their debt so that they can control everything.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
Thomas Jefferson

Stop using these institutions.  Use Community Banks. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"
Thomas Jefferson

Fight the Aristocracy

The purpose of my writing is to demonstrate and hopefully inspire some American patriotism.  I hope to, if only for a minute, pull the eyes of complacence away from celebrity drama and sports entertainment to the withering tree of liberty.  We are losing our Democratic Republic to the vast armies of corporate lawyers and lobbiests, who seek to give our government over to the aristocracy.  Thomas Jefferson is my inspiration for this.  He warned us of this, he and others understood how the struggle for power works and how rare it was for the opportunity to hand the power of a nation over to the collective, out of the hands of tyrants, and create a government in the interest of the common good.

I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.
Thomas Jefferson
We see this now. The banksters have lobbied our representatives for decades. They have thrown their money at our elections and purchased the manipulation of our laws that regulate them.  They are winning.  They are siphoning all of the wealth the middle class had earned and they are funneling it to the top 1%.  There are now 400 Americans who hold more wealth than 150,000,000 Americans.  Those 400 Americans need to know their time has come.  America will not sit lathargic any longer.
